New Pacific Direct Soho Square Coffee Table Wenge IT IS POINTLESS TO ORDER THIS TABLE - IT CANNOT ARRIVE UNDAMAGED BECAUSE OF THE POOR PACKAGING. This wide bulky 70+ pound table comes wrapped in a giant paper bag and not much else. The flimsy box rips/dents everywhere the table is rested. ALL of the corners were bashed in edges dented. At least two other Amazon customers have complained about the same poor packaging and the solution is relatively cheap and easy to implement. Yet nothing has been done. It's especially frustrating because the item is very nice. I would re-order if there was any guarantee of receiving a better packaged product. Amazon: improve the packageing or STOP SELLING THE PRODUCT . . . and stop asking for your customers' opinions if you're going to ignore them.More detail ...

Damaged Goods

I am very dissatisfied with the product. I received my replacement (after a damaged first shipment) and the second is damaged too. I responded to Amazon as to what I should do a few days ago and have heard nothing back. I would like a refund.



Maybe you could help me. I have ordered things in the past and have never had problems before.



The table top was damaged in the same place in both shipments and I suggested you investigate the packaging of the item.

Attractive Coffee Table

This table arrived with some scratches and cracks but when assembled is sturdy and attractive.



The first table I ordered was so badly damaged in shipping that the mail carrier refused to deliver it and its replacement was pretty banged up as well. The packaging could stand to be more protective considering some of the pieces are thin wood (e.g. drawer bottoms).



As for the table itself this is a very good quality piece for the price. Assembly is reasonable taking about 1/2 hour to put together. The drawers move smoothly without catching and all the pieces line up properly. The finish is a more of a deep espresso color than a black. This looks like an expensive table from a furniture store and is sure to get a lot of compliments.More detail ...

Excellent Value

This coffee table goes well with our sectional sofa in our family room. The rounded edge works well with small children. It was very easy to assemble. The top edge contains a minor flaw in the wood pattern but it's not bad. All in all a good value for the money.More detail ...

Great for the money!

We purchased this ottoman coffee table for our basement rec room and could not be more pleased! The color is lovely - just how it looks in the picture online - and what an amazing price!

The ottoman received some slight damage during the shipping process but I contacted the company and they were MORE than accommodating - immeditaly rectifying the situation by shipping a new one! Inconsistant coloring

Overall this is a decent coffee table for a good price. I'm happy with the small size (exactly what I needed for the space I had) solid construction and simple assembly. I am disappointed however in the color of the finish. I ordered the matching end table which was a nice dark espresso that matches my other espresso finish furniture. The coffee table however is solid black. Both items arrived the same day and side by side they don't go together at all- the color is so different. The underside of the coffee table matches the side table it looks like someone was a little overzealous with how many coats of finish to put on and over-darkened it.



All in all a good table for the price but definitely in need of a little better quality control in the color department. If I had purchased this in a store I would bring it back and have them open the boxes to find one that matches the end table. Too much effort to ship it back and take the luck of the draw on whether the next finish will be better or worse. More detail ...

You get what you pay for...

It came with a little dent went to together in about 10 min. but i would not recommend the glass feels like it will break when you put anything on it. The coffee table itself just doesn't seem well made. The legs and frame don't line up perfectly so there are gaps where the legs are attached to the table. I take back the stars! Zero stars for this!

Well I thought it was a good deal when I bought them in April 2007 but these are turning out to be horrible. I bought two for a mountain cabin. BOTH now have wood that's splitting the top is separating from the edge moulding and one literally has a split that I can fit 3 credit cards in! These are terrible! They obviously didn't kiln dry the wood used to make them the finish is even worse with the splits because the wood is almost whitish and no amount of touchup is gonna fix a crack I can see thru. Plus I wrote the original review based on the first one prior to opening the second. They sent the wrong legs on the second one...I had to drill out holes to jerry-rig it.

Don't waste your money.
